Which uh at least he owns up to that shit. He's like, yeah, I'm just gonna, you know, accept it, take it for what it is, and just fuck around and have fun. It's literally the college experience for him. Yeah, plus he's rich as fuck. Excuse me, guys. Sorry. But he's rich as hell. Um, and he's a jock in a frat house. Literally everything a woman or a campus girl or college girl would want to look for.

Even though Sean is a piece of shit, anyways. Um, hi guys! Welcome to our off-campus episode. Welcome back, welcome back to two girls, no chill, no filter, no plan, no chill. We are covering all things off campus. If you don't know what off campus is, um, keep up. Yeah, but it's literally uh a show that's trending right now, like hardcore trending. It's on Amazon Prime. Um, all of season one is out, and they just confirmed and started recording season two, which I'm very excited. So excited. Um, but yes, we are yeah, gonna cover literally all of our takes and our opinions on the show. Um, don't, you know, think that we're saying everything that's correct, that this is just our opinion. Take it with a grain of salt. If you want to come at us in the comments, please do. But we also want to hear your opinions. Um, we did post um a little kind of like post on Instagram and TikTok of what your opinions are, so we'll cover those as well. And we are grateful for everyone that actually reached out and gave us their two cents on this show. So personally, I have seen off campus five times already. So I originally I originally saw it three times, and then Sarah finally saw it, and then I was like, we should make an off-campus episode, and then I had to do homework, and the only way that you can do homework is by watching it again and again.
SPEAKER_02So I did see just like in school, I didn't study.

SPEAKER_02So you're getting both worlds here: obsessive and the one take wonder. Yeah, yeah. I was trying to think of the word, it's a good way to put it.
SPEAKER_03All right, so um, if you want to set the scene, we can. Um, for those who haven't seen it, there's gonna be a lot of spoilers. So, this is your spoiler alerts moving forward. Skip this entire um episode, actually, and truly just you know, backtrack if you're just joining us now and listen to our other episodes, or wait for next week and we'll have a different episode. But this is gonna have spoilers galore, this entire episode. So we are letting you know now lots and lots and lots of spoilers. So go watch it and then come back and listen. So, what made you start watching it? Um, so what I didn't know anything about the show, I didn't even know it was a thing and it existed. Um, I was scrolling on Instagram and I saw the scene where um Garrett and uh Wellsy are in the weight room in a sense, um, and they're supposed to be tutoring or whatever. And he's like, Oh, you blush every time I talk to you or whatever. So it was I know what happens, but originally all I saw was him placing the weights next to her as she's like leaning on the weights and him getting in her face. And I was just like, Oh, shit, what is this show? What is this show and how do I watch it? So I ended up looking it up. Um, and I was and I saw that there was just it was trending. Like the second I put it in, everything. My algorithm just spiked and it was all off campus. I was like, all right, cool. I definitely have to I have to watch the show now. This is that's it, that's that's it. I have to watch it because that episode, well, that clip alone, I didn't even get to like see like what happens after with Logan or anything like that. Right. It was just straight up that clip of him getting in her face, and I was just like, Oh, the chemistry is oozing out of my screen right now. Like, I this is a book, this is a book, yes, yes. I was like, this needs to be on my phone so I can watch it or on my TV so I can watch it. And fun fact, I did watch it anytime I had the chance to. So it was on my phone and on my TV. What about you? I started to watch it because of you.
SPEAKER_02You forced me.
SPEAKER_03I didn't force you, I only sent you reels. It's good, it's fine. I only sent you reels. Well, 75. Yeah, they were just really good. They were exactly so good that it convinced you to watch the show. Yes, 100%. Okay, so yes, I convinced you to watch the show, but we'll hook you in.
SPEAKER_02Uh, really, like halfway through the first episode, I was already hooked. I initially thought, like, oh, I don't love this type of show. I don't even know how to classify it either. Because it's not it's like a rom-com, kind of. Kind of, kind of. And that's not my favorite genre. So I didn't really know what to expect. But it was funny, it was relatable.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02It was yes, yes, it was. Um, yeah, and then the story hooked me pretty quickly. Yeah. With like the whole deal and everything.
SPEAKER_03Or the Mona. Mona! Hey Mona!
SPEAKER_02I know, I was like, is he that is that her name? That's not her name. That's not her name at all.
SPEAKER_03That is not her name at all.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I was I was pretty hooked pretty early on.
SPEAKER_03I was also hooked on episode one. Um, literally what hooked me was the the belt loop pull and I was like, I need someone to do that to me. I like, I need someone to just do that to me. Pull me in like that. Hearing the um, you're not interested in me, and I'm not interested in a relationship, just solidified the fact that this man is crushing hard. And I'm just like, oh, I can't wait to see where this goes. But yeah, episode one hooked me immediately. It's like a no-brainer, at least for me it was. Although that I also saw the reel. So I was just like, okay, like I know where this goes, kind of. So I was already like invested before I started watching, and then the whole loop belt loop thing hook, whatever pollen, yeah, that whatever move that is, that was that literally hooked me. What surprised you the most in the show? Um, like what was a big like shocker surprise? Probably seeing healthy men.
SPEAKER_02Emotionally regulated men.
SPEAKER_03Yes, absolutely. The um the talk that um Garrett and Dean have about Hannah, um, where he's like, Oh, she's if it's her first time, she's probably not gonna not gonna come. And he's like, you know, she she has to, and he's like, respect. Yeah, but that whole entire conversation, like it started with like him joking around, and then he's like, No, no, no, seriousness, like this does not leave the weight room, and then they just get down to it, but they're serious, but like funny at the same time, and like, oh, I just love it. I love all of that and the healthy, healthy masculinity, healthy communication, yes, skills, all of that. But these are also men written by a woman, uh-huh. So that's why.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I was surprised.
SPEAKER_03What about you? I was surprised by um a scene. Um, the uh do not call scene. When I found out do not call was Dean and not Sean. I was like, oh me too. Uh called that man. Hell yeah. At first I was like, no, why the fuck are you calling him? He's a piece of shit. No, don't call him. And then the next episode is just like oh like oh, this makes sense. I saw the do not call, and I was like, oh, thank god, it's him. Yeah, that was a good one. Yes, price. If you had to pick a favorite uh first impression, what would it be? Like first impression of a character, or yeah, a character, or just like the show in general.
SPEAKER_02Um mine was in a sense a character. I mean, first impression of the first episode, like in the beginning. Um, I mean, there was an ass real quick. Oh yeah. And I was like, oh, okay, I'm I'm down for rated 18 plus. Um, so I guess first impressions were pretty high. I mean, I wasn't cringed or anything by it in the beginning. Yeah. Which is good because I probably would have stopped watching fairly quickly. Yeah. If I feel like anything triggered you, yeah. Yeah, yeah. But no, it was it was pretty good. I wasn't turned off by an all. Good. I was turned on. I wasn't turned on, though.

SPEAKER_03Um no, my favorite first impression was uh meeting Allie, but Allie as J Lo. Yeah. J-Lo Allie. Because everyone knows what I'm talking about. Of course. Honestly. It's every it's honestly everywhere. She looks so fucking hot when she does it. The dance and everything. Um, because we don't get a lot of Allie in the first episode except her tits, which are beautiful. But we don't get a sense of like what her character is um or much of that. It's just very small glimpses of it. We get more of her into episode two, right? Um, at the birthday party. Um, but yeah, she was my favorite first impression, and she's my favorite character, also. So I also have a huge crush on her. So there's that. A little biased. I'm not biased, I'm just crushing fucking hard. She literally made me melt. Like that entire scene, I could watch it on repeat all day. All day, all fucking day.
SPEAKER_02Well, we're a little bit opposite there. My favorite character is Wellesie. Yes. Also had a huge crush on Wellesie. No like competition between the two at all. No, no, they're both gorgeous, they're both amazing. I don't know what it is about her. Oh, you know what? It's probably because she can sing. She can sing and she has gorgeous eyes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I mean, she's gorgeous, yeah. Yeah, and she can fucking sing. Yeah. That voice. Oh my god. Voice of a goddess.
SPEAKER_02The karaoke night, that solidifies. Cherry pie. Oh my god. With that outfit? Yes. Everything. Huh. Dancing. Singing. Outfit. Yeah. All of this. Oh my god, yes. It was magical. That was that was a really good one.
SPEAKER_03So I have Allie as J-Lo, and you have Wellesie as cherry pie. Yep. There we go. See? But oh my god, yes. Absolutely. Absolutely. Um really got me going with at least the comedy aspect is, and I love that they did this. Um, when they do um the initiation for for Tucker. Oh yeah. And they give they give him the little baby grape, and he eats in front of him and then give some strawberry. And then the banana he ends up naming it. Um, what the fuck is it? Um Bernard Bernardo. Yes. Yes. And then he ends up losing it again during Drunk Shakespeare. And then he passes out with a fucking watermelon. He started off as a fucking grape and went to a watermelon. So I enjoyed actually following following that. And I felt so bad, but also I could not help but laugh at that entire thing. And the fact that he literally stuck by it too. He's like, fuck this. I'm gonna I'm gonna stick by it. He's holding on tight. Oh, watermelon. He's like, I'm gonna take care of it. I'm gonna take care of you, Bernardo. I'm gonna take care of you. Even though he like passed it on, yeah, over and over and over and over. Hey, watch this. Hey, watch this, hey, watch this, hey, watch this. It was so good. I I actually really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed that. That's my my comedic relief for the show. Yeah, at least. I agree. That was funny.
SPEAKER_02Um, who's your least favorite character?
SPEAKER_03My least favorite character, it would have to go between I have it, I have the Bermuda Triangle. Okay. Um, I have uh Mr. Graham. Yep. Can't stand him. Like he's the worst of the worst. He beat a child and his wife, even when she had cancer. Um Delaney, because he literally raped Hannah. Spoilers, obviously. Um, literally raped her, lied about it, got away with it, and is still spreading lies. So the point where, like, the dad even beat the shit out of um fucking what's his face? They they say it in the book. I read the book, guys. Um, um, and my third one is Sean. Of course, yeah. He's literally a walking red flag. Yeah. Like he's yeah, he's he's terrible. Not only is he putting her down every time she wants to do anything or spice up the relationship, he's also like, we have our life set in Vermont. This is what we're gonna do. You know, I'm gonna do this, you're gonna do this, blah blah blah blah blah. Like, your your dreams don't matter to me. Yep. Like, I don't care what you want, how you feel. I like normal, I like boring, and I can't fucking stand him. And then to gaslight her. Oh my gosh. I was like, wow, you really can't be alone, can you? Oh my god, I wanted to fucking punch him through the TV. Me too. The disrespect, like, bro, fuck off. Why? Because she finally moved on from your ass, and now you want to like gets me so fucking mad. Gets me so mad. Um yeah, like Mr. Graham is he he pisses me off because he's he's a piece of shit through and through and should be in fucking jail. Um, but like he's on the sidelines. Unfortunately, he beats his new girlfriend, which is fucking sad, and she can't open her eyes enough to see that it's not okay. And Delaney is just a piece of shit through and through, also. Of course, but we also know them as being the bad guys or the bad characters in the story, right? As Sean that's playing the good guy being a bad guy, right? That I can't fucking stand. So yeah, those are mine. What about you?
SPEAKER_02I know I thought the same thing. Um, if I had to pinpoint it down to one, my choice was Delaney. Yeah. But I thought the same three. Yeah, they're all pieces of shit. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I was like, well, there's clear three choices here. Yeah. There's usually like one main bad guy, but this time they're like, nah, we're just gonna spice it up and give you three. We're just gonna sprinkle a couple in there. Yeah, we're gonna sprinkle a couple. So I have I had fun dissecting the party. My favorite episode. Uh-huh. Um, I had fun dissecting and trying to find the costume pairs at uh Bo and Dean's birthday party. So I made a list of everything that I found. Beautiful, all the costumes that I found. Let's do it. So obviously, we have the main two magician and rabbit, Graham and Wellsy. They also addresses that because they're playing a trick on everyone. Right. Yes. And then you have Mad Frick and Goose, Birthday Boys. Uh-huh. From Top Gun. And then you have The Birds and the Bees, which is John and John. It's Tuck and Logan. Did you not know what it's about? Oh.
SPEAKER_02That's so funny. I see. This is why I need to watch it at least twice.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, you have the Birds and the Bees. And then you have J-Lo and Ben Affleck, which is Allie and Sean. Right. And then you have uh Peter Pan and Peter Pan's Shadow, which is Jules and whoever they were there with.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_03And then in the background, I saw a couple of Switch controllers. Oh my gosh. Yes. I also saw Steve and Blue from Blues Clues. Wow. Yes. I love that. I know. At first I saw Steve and I was like, is that Steve? I have to find Blue. And then they have a shot of someone with like the ears from blues clues, like dressed up as blue. And I was like, yes, got it. Um there's obviously Angel and Devil. I saw somebody dressed as salt and black pepper, cat and mouse. Um, I saw Sims players. They had the little thing on top of the head. And then while Allie and Sean are walking into the house, a deer and headlights are walking out of the house. So the guys dressed up as a deer and the girls the headlights because the lights are on her dits. Wow. I need to watch it again. Yes. So that was like the most fun I had because I was just trying to dissect everything that was going on in the background. I was like, I've already seen this episode. I just want to know what people are wearing. The only thing that I can't figure out is who is Bertie's uh counterpart because I'm not sure what he's dressed as. I don't know if he's dressed as um Marty McFly from Back to the Future or what. That was what it was giving for me, but I don't know who his pair was. But that's everything I found during the um the birthday. That was my favorite of doing homework, at least my end. I had a lot of fun doing that and finding all of the little costumes. There was a lot of pirates, a lot of like um dresses, like inmates, and like with the like the stripes, a lot of referees in there as well. Oh, um, what's her fave? She's in episode one, the one that fucks uh Garrett in the episode one. Oh yeah, I don't know her name. Got her name, but she dresses up as Britney Spears um with the the snake around her neck. Yeah, she dresses up as her, and I didn't catch that until like watching it the fourth time around when I like looked and I was like, oh, she has a snake. She's Britney Spears. So I don't know who her counterpart though was because that was like not like um Justin and Britney era, so I don't know. But that was my little deep dive on on the birthday, birthday costumes, at least. I love that. I'll have to watch it again. Yes, for sure. Um and then I have my favorite quotes. Oh I'm telling you, I did my homework. Go for it. Um, so I have my closed cans are safer, bro, Logan. Oh yeah, consent is key, Dean. Show me, Graham. Yes. Um, and you're not just one thing, babe, you're everything, Allie. Oh yeah, yes, but the show me, I was like, this has to be my favorite quote when he's ever fucking said. That's a good one. Because that scene is just spicy. I didn't like the close-up of like the curling of the feet, but everything else is really oh yeah, yeah. That was a little, but I get it. They were doing it to show them that they were just like climaxing. I understand, but everything else in that scene was just so hot. It was so hot, it absolutely was. I agree, and in the book, it's just as hot, guys, if not hotter. I'll have to read that too. Yes, for sure. Overrated character. Overrated? I feel like Garrett's overrated. Me too. Well, yeah, he's like the MC, and people are like obsessed with him. I'm not number 22, baby, John Logan all the way. Um, but yeah, I feel like he's very overrated, but also because he's the MC. So it makes sense why people are so obsessed with him. He also did his little stripper dance at um drunk Shakespeare. So there's that. Um, but I feel like, yeah, what's your reason why he's overrated? You picked him also. I did. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, I think mostly because he's very cocky.
SPEAKER_03Oh, actually, it's so much worse than the book.

SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, for sure. I completely get it. And the fact that he didn't even know who she was until she saw him naked. Right. But it doesn't help that she lingered. It wasn't like, oh my god, and then runs away. No, she fucking stared at every single detail. Waited till he turned around. Yeah. And then took off her headline. Yes. And she's like, I'm sorry, what? Like had a whole full belong conversation. Like, you would you expect to like do introductions?
SPEAKER_02Like, I'm so sorry. Yes. I'm Hannah. Yeah. But like, cover your eyes.
SPEAKER_03I'm so sorry. But instead, you're just staring, mouth open. I'm so sorry. Yep. Yes, very, very overrated. So I get it. Um, underrated? I feel like mine's Logan. Yours is Logan? Mine's is Tuck. Oh, yeah. I feel like Tuck is very underrated. Because Logan is there. He becomes captain at the end. He's best friends with Garrett. He's still there. Yeah. He yearns for Hannah like fucking crazy. It's insane. Um, but I feel like Tuck is so underrated because he does so much for the house. Granted, he's not, it's obviously not about him anytime soon because he's not until like books later. Um, but I feel like he's very, he's a very underrated character. Yeah. Because he's loyal to the bitter end. I feel like he was very underrated. But yes, I agree. Go ahead. Tell me why. Yeah. Tell me why my boo is underrated.
SPEAKER_02Um I think with him, there's the opposite of Garrett. He seemed very humble. Yes. Um, very down to earth. So I think my overrated, underrated are based on their personalities.

SPEAKER_03But it's also like Logan is normal. Like he gives off that normal, like, I have to work my ass off just to pay for my tuition and scholarships so I can be at the school. Meanwhile, Garrett has his dad who pays for everything because he is rich. So you got rich and middle class, lower class. So I uh I get that. Um, who do you think is the biggest red flag? Character-wise, like full-on character, their whole entire character. Who is the walking red flag for you? Garrett's dad.

SPEAKER_02Yeah. That's the easy answer. Yeah. I feel like the other one would be Sean. Okay. Yeah. As like outwardly very red flag. Yeah. Not trying to hide it, really.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, just like being who he is. Yeah. But for you, Justin Cole. I forget he exists in this in this uh show. But yes, he is a walking red flag. Not only does he not give a shit about who Hannah is, like, does not give a fuck who she is, but um, during the block party when Hannah gets her shirt wet, white shirt, wet t-shirt, obviously, he stares at her tits for so fucking long and then continues to gaze at them throughout that conversation. Instead of offering his jacket off his back and hey, let me help you cover up. No, he's just like, Oh, I'm gonna enjoy this show.

SPEAKER_03Yes. He's like, Oh, I'm gonna enjoy this wet t-shirt, you know, that is right in front of me. Because he's like, Oh, I never paid attention to her, but wow, she has big tits. So let me let me focus. Let me now I need to know who she is. And that's when Garrett comes in and he's like, Oh, yeah, it's Hannah, Hannah Wells, and puts the jacket on and stuff like that. Yeah, so then it's hot girl, big tits into a jock. I need in the like, I need to get in there because she talked to me before, so now I want to, you know, like why are you going after something you cannot have? Why? Right. Why are you trying to get something you cannot have? Who knows? Yeah, you're literally only interested in someone because they're with someone else, yeah, because they're off limits. Yeah, so now you want to get in on there? That's so bad. So yeah, I think he's just that's a good one. Yeah, I think he he's a big um I for sure forgot about him walking by and then I have a little fun fact or something that I noticed um about Hannah. Because we know that she was raped and she doesn't trust any open cans. So at first when they're in class and Gara brings her uh coffee. They switched all that around for a better timeline in the show as compared to the book.

She said she wanted to talk or wanted us to talk about how fast Hannah and Garrett's storyline was and how quick Allie and Dean took over after the main couple already got together. She said, even though I feel like there should have been more when it came to Hannah and Gare's development. I see that argument. Yeah. For sure. It did feel fast, but also in a sh in a television show, you kind of have to fast pace if it's being adapted by something, yeah. Or from something. Books have the ability to have as many details as they want. Yeah. In theory, in a lot of ways, if something's being adapted by a book, and let's say it's a TV show, it could one book could probably have like five seasons.

SPEAKER_03Um, and I probably have to look into this, but they started when they had to do finals. Was it finals? I don't remember. But she was helping him, like tutoring him for the the class. Yes, and it was the um right before finals. Right before finals, they had to do the whole presentation, oral presentation. Yes, yes, and they ended up getting together before the oral presentations. After, I think. After the oral presentation, but it was like shortly after the oral presentation. So I want to say they got together in a span of like that's like a Edward Cullen and Bella Swan situation. Yo, they got together within the span of they got married within the span of 12 weeks. Yeah, it is crazy. Um, yeah, I feel like they moved very fast, yeah. And broke up very fast also after that, and then got back together very fast.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was a lot of things in a short amount of time.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, and they make it seem so like far apart, they make it seem like it's like months after, but no, it's literally within span of weeks. Um, the timeline two, three weeks. Uh, that sounds about right. That's fast as hell. It is fast, fast as hell. So, yeah, that happens really, really fast.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but also they can't deep dive into how much time they spent together or conversations that they had. Like we saw the glimpse of something growing when they both decided to sleep on the floor. Yes. And then met on the bed to kind of get to know each other.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but she didn't have that mindset yet. He already had that mindset going into the deal. Right. Yeah. It grew very fast. So they do have a point. They they went extremely fast. What else?

SPEAKER_03Okay. Um, yes, they had their own episode in a sense. It was after New Year's. That's when they had their own episode to pretty much show them that they literally everything that was going on behind the scenes of what was actually going on with the rest of the show before that. Um, but I feel like they did that so fast because they are the next season. Right. Um, because in the book, it's barely around. Literally barely around. Dean either. They're barely around because they're not the next book. Logan's the next book. Um, but they're switching it so that season two, it's Dean and Allie. Um, but I think that's why they did it and why they took over literally the last part of the the show is because they're just slowly like setting up their story because it ends the season with Dean and Allie and Dean getting into a fight with Carter St. James. I'm gonna call him that because that's what I call him. Because I don't like his name. I just don't. I prefer his fake ID name. Okay, go for it.

Um, and I agree with um with what they said about jewels and having like the kind of like the it's kind of uh giving mouth from uh One Tree Hill. Have you ever seen Wonder Hill? Sarah. SPEAKER_03Um, but in One Tree Ho, um, there's this character called Mouth, and they in a sense, they're jewels. They give like the play-by-play of like what's going on. It's more about basketball on that show, but they give the play-by-play of what's going on and stuff like that, but they're also like the comedic relief and kind of like a little side piece of like you know, just to break up the tension or anything like that, kind of give it an extra part of the story. So that's why I agree with that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think it was a good observation as well. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Okay, question for you, because you read a book. Oh, okay. How do you feel about the casting compared to the books? And what do you think would have made the show better or worse in general?
SPEAKER_03Um, the casting, I think, was okay. Um, but would have made the show better or worse? I'm trying to think because there's a lot of stuff that wasn't in the books that are in the show. Like Jules wasn't part of um the books at all. Logan was um the younger brother. Um and they just had another brother. It was just the two. Um, and it was the dad that had the issues, not the mom.

SPEAKER_03Um because the show Garrett had the problem with the dad. They didn't want to do dad, dad, so they did the mom with the issues, and then they added jewels in there to make Logan the middle child, just because he gave off, he gave he gave off more middle child vibes. Um there's a lot, I'm not gonna lie, there was a lot of um Hannah and Garrett fucking in the book, like insane amount. Um, and we didn't get a lot of characters aside from just Hannah and Garrett in the book. Like, yes, they're like all the characters were behind the scenes in the book as compared to the show, where each of them had a little glimpse of like what each person like there was a lot of character development in the show as compared to in the book, in my personal opinion. Okay, because Allie was barely in the book as compared to the show, and the same thing with the other like background characters. And Logan did admit to Garrett that he had a crush on Hannah. Oh, okay. So, like every time Garrett would catch Logan like fawning over Hannah, he would think, like, oh, is he gonna try to snoop in? And and this was before like Garrett and Hannah got together, he would always think, like, oh, you think he's gonna try? Like his inner monologue would be like, Oh, I wonder if he's gonna try to get with her and all that stuff. Um, so there was a lot more conversation there as compared to the show where they didn't even say anything. Jules was the one that noticed and confronted Logan and the car. Um, but in the book, it was like them two actually having a conversation about it. Oh, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_02Oh, but yeah, I lost my train of thought. No, I mean, that was good, that was a good ending. So that was from T T. T T.
